ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- Dravon Henry is the big name at running back for Aliquippa (Pa.) but his backfield mate Terry Swanson is making a name for himself as well.
Swanson has been in the rotation at running back and safety since his sophomore season, and he used the summer to improve his strength, speed, agility and conditioning.
It does not matter where Swanson is on the field -- running back or safety -- as long as he gets to hit somebody.
“(At running back) you get to score but I’m a blocking running back, too. I like to block,” he said.
On defense, Swanson said he’s played linebacker before because of his ability to hit and read.
Swanson does not have any offers, but Pittsburgh and Toledo are interested. Those two already make up part of his early favorites along with Michigan State.
“My dad is a (Pitt) alum so I’ve been up there a lot. It’s one of my favorite colleges,” Swanson said.
“… I like Michigan State and Toledo. I visited both of them and I would love to go to those schools.”
Swanson will visit Pitt this weekend when the Panthers host Virginia Tech.
