Kanyai Anderson Jr.'s recruiting is coming into focus.
The linebacker from Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith said he's only in contact with the schools that have offered him a scholarship: California, Richmond, Connecticut, Furman and Cornell. Anderson Jr. said he has yet to plan any visits this fall.
“I haven't heard much from other schools that haven't offered,” Anderson said.
He said several considerations will come into play as he evaluates schools. One will be a close connection with the program's coaches. Then there's playing time.
“I'm looking to go somewhere where I can play,” said Anderson, who has hinted that he could make a decision soon.
