After a trip south, Chris Laviano is closing in on his decision.
The ESPN 300 quarterback from Hicksville (N.Y.) Holy Trinity said he was leaning toward Rutgers and planned to commit in about a week. Laviano recently visited Florida and Tennessee. As for the Gators, he didn't exactly feel wanted.
"Threw lights out," Laviano stated via text message to ESPN. "One of the coaches loved me, but I guess I was too short or just not what they were looking for."
