Earlier this week, safety Kameron Miles (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) named a top three with a disclaimer that it could change.
Miles picked up an offer from Penn State on Friday, and the Nittany Lions are immediately among his favorites.
“The new coaching staff and I’d fit in well with their scheme my coach said,” Miles said. “They’re [former] pro coaches so it’d be a good experience to get hands-on work with the coaches.”
Miles, ranked No. 12 among safeties nationally, said a member of Penn State’s staff came to his high school recently, and before Miles could even introduce himself he said the assistant told him how interested the Lions are.
With the new offer, Miles said he will try to make it to Penn State soon to visit.
Miami (Fla.), Stanford and Tennessee, which came by the school Friday, were Miles’ top three.
