O'Daniel on Clemson commitment

The latest trip to Clemson was just confirmation for Dorian O'Daniel.

The standout linebacker from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel committed to the Tigers this weekend, his second trip to see the school.

"Initially I had gotten the same good vibe from Clemson," O'Daniel said. "This time up (I did too) so that right there kind of meant something to me."

When asked what other schools O'Daniel was seriously considering, he said "The only other schools that were mention-worthy were Ohio State and Auburn."

O'Daniel stated, "I am committed to Clemson," when asked if he would visit other schools.

The pickup is huge for the Tigers, who now have seven commitments. Clemson could prove a strong player in the talented areas surrounding Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia. More specifically, O'Daniel could help the Tigers at his school, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel, which is one of the top talent-producing schools in the East.

"Of course I will be recruiting other players from the school," O'Daniel said. "I will be the first Good Counsel player to go to Clemson so I can start the pipeline for others to follow."
