Perhaps no player in the Northeast has done more to elevate his stock this season than junior wide receiver John Tsimis (Harrington Park, N.J./Bergen Catholic).
He played sparingly as a sophomore, but has become a major part of the Bergen Catholic offense this season. He caught two touchdown passes in Saturday's 30-17 victory over previously-unbeaten St. Joseph (Montvale) and is currently sixth among New Jersey players in receiving yardage (35 receptions for 532 yards and eight touchdowns). He made a name for himself when he had 10 receptions for 160 yards in a loss to Don Bosco earlier this season.
“Last year I played behind Cam Dickerson, who's now at Northwestern,” Tsimis said. “This year I've had more of an opportunity. I thought I'd be a big part of the offense.”
