Three-star offensive tackle Ryan Brodie (Long Branch, N.J./Long Branch) is headed to Rutgers.
Brodie made the announcement during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. He had narrowed his choices to Rutgers and Connecticut.
“They're getting a quality human being just to start off,” Long Branch coach Dan George said. “The next thing that separates him is his athletic ability. He'll probably play offensive tackle, but I think what makes him special is he can play any of those [offensive line] positions. He could even play center.”
