Three-star tight end J.P. Holtz (Pittsburgh/Shaler) is ready to announce and will make his decision public on Wednesday in a televised announcement.
Holtz said on Monday he will decide between the hometown Pitt Panthers or Michigan State on KDKA, a local Pittsburgh TV station, at 6 p.m. ET.
Holtz, ranked No. 23 among tight ends, was originally committed to Penn State but decommitted in November amid the Jerry Sandusky scandal. He officially visited Michigan State, Pittsburgh and Purdue but has since eliminated the Boilermakers.
At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, Holtz can play either tight end or defensive end in college.
