Boeing Brown is holding out for a few more scholarship offers, especially one.
The quarterback from Brookfield (Conn.) High School said South Carolina would be his first choice if the Gamecocks decided to extend an official invite. Brown said he is also being evaluated by Vanderbilt and Wisconsin and the two schools have said they'd like to see him throw in person.
That won't likely be a problem as Brown has been more than willing to travel to inspect colleges, even though he's just a junior. Brown has already visited several eastern schools, including South Carolina. He said he'd like to visit Maryland, Wake Forest and North Carolina State by the end of January. Michigan State, Indiana and Nebraska are also on the must-see list.
Brown said he has recently picked up scholarship offers from Northwestern, Tulsa, Toledo, Central Florida and Duke. Brown said he has also had strong contact with Penn State.
