Three-star linebacker Jazzmar Clax (Neptune, N.J./Neptune) said he had his heart set on playing college football at Maryland, but that window of opportunity may have closed when Maryland received commitments from linebackers Abner Logan Jr. (Newton, Mass./Dexter School) and Dallas Griffiths (Tallahassee, Fla./North Florida Christian) last week.
“Maryland told me they filled their quota [at linebacker],” Clax said. “Things happen for a reason, but I'm frustrated. Right now I'm looking for a home.”
Clax has offers from Temple and Minnesota. He said he received an offer from Arizona State earlier this year, but hasn't heard from the Sun Devils since head coach Dennis Erickson was fired in November.
