2013 prospect Taquan Mizzell picked up his seventh scholarship offer this week.
Connecticut joins East Carolina, North Carolina State, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech as schools that have extended official invites.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pound athlete from Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside said he'll likely visit some schools soon but that no school is currently standing out from the pack.

The East Region consists of the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. Programs from all over the country consider the East Region fertile recruiting territory and it's not uncommon for kids to sign with teams from the ACC, Big East, Big Ten and SEC.
