Mundelein, Ill. shooting guard Robert Knar (Mundelein H.S.) put an end to his recruitment on Monday with a verbal pledge to Northern Iowa, according to the Highland Park News.

The 6-foot-1 junior chose the Panthers over Bucknell but was beginning to draw interest from Stanford and other high major programs.

"I chose (UNI) because the academics are great, which has to come first," Knar told the paper. "I also like the people there, the basketball environment and the coach."

Knar averaged 22.3 points as a junior and is already the No. 2 all-time scorer for Mundelein.
