According to The News Tribune (Tacoma, Wash.), shooting guard Dezmyn Trent (Tacoma, Wash./Foss) verbally committed to Boise State on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3 senior chose the Broncos over offers from San Jose State, Seattle and Idaho.

"I think the biggest thing is the opportunity to play right away," Foss head coach Mike Cocke told the paper. "They are talking about him playing as a freshman. They are a program on the rise. To go and play in one of the toughest conferences (Mountain West) in the country is a big deal."

Trent, a three-year starter at Foss, averaged 26.9 points as a senior and his 618 points this year are a single-season record. He joins fall signees Darnell Taylor (Los Angeles/Saddleback College) and James Webb III (Augusta, Ga./North Idaho College) in the the Broncos 2013 class.
