With one tweet, ESPN 100 point guard Nigel Williams-Goss (Henderson, Nev./Findlay Prep) set one college basketball program on its ear Wednesday afternoon.
“... I will be heading the University of Washington!!! Very proud and excited to join #HuskyNation,” Williams-Goss said via his Twitter account.
Williams-Goss, considered the nation’s 10th-best point guard, verbally committed to play for head coach Lorenzo Romar and the Huskies, becoming the first commitment of the program’s 2013 recruiting class. A 6-foot-3, 180-pound floor general, Williams-Goss chose Washington over offers from Oklahoma, UNLV, UCLA and Harvard.
