WHEELING, W. Va. -- The Cancer Research Classic is easily one of the top showcase events in the Midwest. The two-day event features some of the country's best talent and is always spectacular. A portion of the proceeds from the event go toward a national effort of eradicating one of the world's most devastating diseases.
Here were some of the best performers at the event:
2014, C, 6-10, 270 pounds
Status: Uncommitted
Okafor keeps getting better. Great hands, feet and touch for a player as large as him is very rare. Okafor has gone from being a tremendous prospect to a tremendous player. He is the No. 2 prospect in the ESPN 60 at this point and is the best pure center prospect to come out of high school in quite some time. He put 32 points on Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia) at the Cancer Research Classic and the Saints had no answer for his size and skill.
