Point guard Jevon Thomas (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Northwest Military Academy) has committed to Kansas State over offers from Auburn, Seton Hall, Penn State, UNLV and Towson.
"I like how I will fit into their motion offense and I like how coach [Bruce] Weber [used] guards Deron Williams and Dee Brown,” Thomas said. “Plus, me and coach Chester Frazier are real cool."
The 6-foot 1, 178-pound Thomas, who is a 2013 post-grad, really played well at the Fishburne Best Western Plus Caisson Shootout in Waynesboro, Virginia, back in November. Against Hargrave Military Academy, Thomas topped the 30-point mark in an impressive 106-104 win.
