Andrew and Aaron Harrison (Richmond, Texas/Travis) committed to Kentucky on Thursday, live on ESPNU’s "RecruitingNation" show. The two form high school’s best backcourt tandem and give coach John Calipari the nation’s top-ranked point guard and No. 1 shooting guard.
With the commitment, the Wildcats have added a pair of immediate impact players with ideal NBA guard size (6-foot-5) as high school seniors. The identical twins also have elite strength, athletic ability and skill, in addition to being tough, competitive and consistently productive on both ends of the floor. They both play in attack mode on every catch and do a great job of drawing fouls. These two big guards welcome contact and make defenders pay the price on both ends -- especially offensively as they dribble through contact.
Although Andrew and Aaron have defined positions that they have flourished in at this level, they are interchangeable pieces on the court. Andrew can slide over to the off guard and Aaron can bring up the ball at the point without missing a beat.
