Ga. Tech secures No. 5 in-state prospect

Georgia Tech second-year head coach Brian Gregory landed an in-state prospect who will allow him to continue to rebuild the Yellow Jacket program when he secured a commitment from 6-8 combo forward Quinton Stephens (Atlanta/Marist School) on Sunday. Stephens is rated the No. 5 prospect in Georgia by ESPN.

Stephens had already visited Clemson and was going to check out Miami and Tennessee, but after his weekend with Gregory and the Yellow Jackets he felt there was no need to continue the recruiting process.

"I thought Georgia Tech was the best fit," said Stephens. "I met with the dean of engineering, played pickup with the players and I already know guys on the team like freshman Robert Carter. All the players like the coaches and it felt right. I also got an opportunity to watch the team work out."
