Former Sycamore pledge in high demand
By Reggie Rankin
INDIANAPOLIS -- Class of 2014 PG Bryant McIntosh (Greensburg, Ind./Greensburg) has had a couple of very impressive performances at this week’s adidas Invitational. The 6-foot-3 guard has displayed a great feel for the game to go with his good size in front of the number of college coaches packing the gym.
Former Indiana State commit Bryant McIntosh has landed new offers from FSU and Auburn.
That should bode well for three-star prospect who is seeing renewed interest in his recruitment since decommitting from Indiana State earlier this week.
McIntosh, who is still considering the Sycamores, has seen his on-court production yield new offers from Florida State and Auburn and strong interest from Northwestern, Clemson and Xavier.
This is a guy who simply knows how to play the game and will be a good catch for whichever team ends up landing him. McIntosh makes teammates better with his ability to penetrate and kick or penchant for dropping-off dimes at the rim. He can knock down the open jumper with 3-point range and has a nice floater to boot.
McIntosh makes good decisions on the break and knows where to go with the ball when executing in the halfcourt. He will have to add strength to his frame, work on his on-ball defense and improve his handle against intense ball pressure to improve his overall game, but those are all deficiencies he is capable of rectifying with dedication.
McIntosh can be trusted with the ball, which should help his future coaches sleep better at night. His upside is tremendous, explaining why he is a recruit in such high demand.
