Seton Hall and St. Joseph’s were among the busiest programs last week, handing out a number of offers and hosting several of the region’s top prospects. Also, four-star power forward Bonzie Colson Jr. picked up an offer from an ACC squad and sets a pair of visits for this upcoming weekend.

Here’s a look at some of the other news & notes from around the northeast region this week:

• Central Catholic (Mass.) guard Tyler Nelson picked up an offer from Vermont while on an official visit this week. He’s taken several unofficial visits in recent weeks and now holds offers from George Washington, Jacksonville, Fairfield, Dartmouth and Vermont.

• Miami joined Seton Hall as high-majors to offer Wings Academy (N.Y.) 2015 G Mohamed Touray. Fordham is also in the mix.

• St. Joseph’s was another busy school this week. They hosted Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.) 2014 PG Shavar Newkirk, Salesianum (Del.) 2015 G Donte DiVincenzo, Newark Eastside (N.J.) 2014 forward Ishmael Sanogo for unofficial visits and offered a scholarship to Haverford (Pa.) 2015 swingman Sean Lloyd. Newkirk holds offers from St. Joe’s, Iona, Manhattan, Hofstra, Florida International and Middle Tennessee. LaSalle became the first school to offer DiVincenzo earlier this month. Sanogo has offers from Buffalo, Delaware, George Mason, Pennsylvania and Wagner. St. Joe’s is reportedly the first school to offer Lloyd, but he has other interest from Penn State and Old Dominion.
