According to www.cincinnati.com, power forward Garrett Mayleben (Milford, Ohio/Milford) verbally committed to Bowling Green earlier this week.

The 6-foot-9 Mayleben chose the Falcons over Akron, Kent State, Kennesaw State, The Citadel and Wright State. He is the second 2013 recruit for head coach Louis Orr and his staff, joining shooting guard Zach Denny (Germantown, Ohio/Valley View).

ESPN's National Recruiting Director Paul Biancardi describes Mayleben as a "big man in size but with skill that will cause match-up problems in the MAC."

"He's 6'8, has an effective perimeter game and outworks bigger players around the basket with his energy. Players with his frame and touch can have a great career at the mid-major level," Biancardi added. "Louis Orr and his staff continue to be successful recruiting in their backyard."
