5-foot-11 point guard Stefan Moody ended his recruitment over the weekend with a verbal pledge to Florida Atlantic University.
ESPN's National Recruiting Director Paul Biancardi commented on this commitment.
"FAU strikes again in the recruiting circles," he said. "Last week they secured a commitment from super athletic forward Chris Bryant (Tallahassee, Fla.). Now they pick up dynamic point guard Moody.
"He possesses tremendous athletic ability and a consistent 3-point shot."
Moody really made his mark on the AAU circuit this summer, according to Biancardi.
"He had a great summer playing for Team Breakdown. He pushes the ball with great end to end speed. He can and will finish with a dunk if needed. Defensively, he'll attach the ball and keep it out of the lane. He can also make the spectacular play like chasing down a breakaway and elevating to block it at the rim.
"Stefan can definitely be one of the better freshman in the Sun Belt conference next season."
Moody and Bryant make up the current 2012 class for head coach Mike Jarvis and the Owls.
