The Los Angeles Times is reporting that shooting guard Kris Yanku (Woodland Hills, Calif./Taft) verbally committed to Northern Arizona on Monday.
"I had a good relationship with the coaches," he told the paper. "They were serious about me and wanted me to come. I feel it's the best fit for me, and I get to showcase my skills."
Yanku held offers from UNC-Greensboro, Drake and Towson.
"Yanku is a good athlete that affects the game in multiple ways," according to ESPN.com's Joel Francisco. "He can slash his way to the rim, play some point guard or lock down the opposing teams best scorer. He needs to smoothen his jumpshot, but he's a winner."
