Illinois-Chicago head coach Howard Moore hit the daily double on Monday, nabbing verbal commitments from Fishburne Military teammates Matt Gorski (Chesterfield, Va.) and Jake Wiegand (Herndon, Va.), according to ESPN Chicago's Scott Powers.
Gorski is a 7-foot, 245 pound center who also considered Hofstra and UAB. Wiegand goes 6-8, 230 and had interest from The Citadel and IUPUI.
"I found out he committed at practice today," said Wiegand. "I committed right before practice at 12 p.m. It's pretty much a coincidence."
"I would never choose another person to actually attend college with me," Gorski added. "He's a great player all around. I'm a great player all around. We're going to bring great attributes to Chicago."
Gorski and Wiegand will join Gabriel Snider in the Flames 2012 class.
