According to a report in the Memphis Commercial Appeal, ESPNU 100 forward Jarnell Stokes (Memphis, Tenn./Southwind H.S.) could graduate high school in December and suit up for a school in January once he is cleared by the NCAA.
Stokes transferred to Southwind in August but was denied a hardship waiver to compete this year by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association.
"I've set myself up to go to college midyear. I really don't know yet, but that's definitely an option," Stokes told the paper. "I have other options that me and my dad don't want to reveal. I walk by faith and not by sight, so I'm just waiting on God to give me the word on what's my next option."
Stokes, ranked No. 18 overall in 2012, is considering Memphis, Arkansas, Florida, Connecticut, Tennessee and Kentucky.
