Buckeyes land ESPN 100 C Dastrup

Ohio State landed its fifth recruit from the 2014 class on Thursday evening when ESPN 100 center Payton Dastrup (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) announced his pledge to the Buckeyes.

Dastrup chose Ohio State over BYU and Virginia. He joins a Buckeyes class that ranks No. 2 in the nation and features ESPN 100 prospects D'Angelo Russell (Louisville, Ky./Montverde Academy), Keita Bates-Diop (Bloomington, Ill./University) and Jae'Sean Tate (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) along with 3-star center David Bell (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights).
