Maryland's 17th ranked class on ESPN.com has officially signed letters of intent to suit up for the Terps in 2012, the school announced on Wednesday afternoon.

First-year head coach Mark Turgeon received letters from ESPNU 100 prospects Shaquille Cleare (Houston, Texas/The Village School) and Jake Layman (Wrentham, Mass./King Philip H.S.) along with shooting guard Seth Allen (Fredericksburg, Va./Fredericksburg Christian).

"We're very pleased with our class for 2012 so far," said Turgeon. "We've added three quality players with great character who will fit in with our Maryland Basketball family.

"All three are very skilled basketball players who have a great feel for the game. My entire staff and the administration did a fantastic job in helping us secure these kids."
