Arkansas nabs two for 2012

New Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson added his second and third commitments for the 2012 class on Wednesday, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

6-foot-3 shooting guard Anthlon Bell (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett H.S.) and small forward JaCorey Williams(Birmingham, Ala./Central Park Christian) both pledged to sign with the Razorbacks. Bell chose the Hogs over Massachusetts while Williams was being courted by Boston College, Missouri, Richmond and Alabama.

ESPN.com's Mike LaPlante talks about Anderson's new additions.

"Anthlon and JaCorey are great gets for Mike Anderson and the Razorbacks," LaPlante offered. "Bell is a tremendous shooter with range that will fit perfectly into the "Fastest 40 Minutes" philosophy that Arkansas will employ. It also helps reestablish the Razorbacks in Memphis as Anderson has strong recruiting ties to the fertile area.

"Anderson also used his connections in Birmingham to lasso Williams," said LaPlante. "The long and athletic small forward is versatile enough to be plugged into multiple positions in the press and should flourish in the up-tempo environment. Anderson has been a master at recruiting to the system and these two commits should contribute immediately."

The duo joins wing forward Michael Qualls (Shreveport, La./Huntington H.S.) who picked Arkansas earlier this month.
