Olivier Hanlan makes his choice

October, 25, 2011
ESPN has confirmed that Olivier Hanlan (Gatineau, Quebec/New Hampton) made a verbal commitment to Boston College head coach Steve Donahue on Tuesday night, becoming the second player to commit to the Eagles in the class of 2012.

He was the fifth highest rated available point guard in the ESPN database. He was on Boston College's campus last weekend for his official visit after visiting Virginia Tech in September. He also considered Virginia, Dayton, and Rice.

"I just really liked my visit. I felt really comfortable with all the coaches, especially with Coach Donahue." Hanlan told ESPN.com "They've been recruiting me since last winter and when I sat down with my family to think about it, that's what it came down to, that and the style of play. Even my old coach from Canada was saying the style of play would fit me perfectly.
