Western Michigan head coach Steve Hawkins landed his second recruit in less than a week - and fifth overall - on Sunday when Illinois guard Charles Harris (Lake Forest Academy) committed to the Broncos, the Kalamazoo Gazette reported.
"He's a kid that I would foresee as having a huge impact early on and possibly, down the road, an all-conference type player," Lake Forest Academy coach Matt Vaughn told the paper. "He can do a little bit of everything. He's like 6-5, big wingspan. Can get to the rim. Good athletic ability. Very good defensively. Can score around the hoop. His outside shot is probably the one thing that's held him back a little bit, but he's very good mid-range."
Late last week, West Bloomfield, Mich. native Kellen McCormick also pledged to the Broncos. Small forward Taylor Perry (Rochester, Mich.), point guard Jared Klein (Otsego, Mich.) and power forward Connar Tava (Warren, Mich.) are also on board in 2012.
