Louisville landed a verbal commitment from ESPN 100 power forward Akoy Agau (Omaha, Neb./Omaha Central) on Wednesday night, ESPN.com has confirmed.
The 6-foot-9 Agau held mulitple offers including Clemson, Connecticut, Creighton, Iowa State and Nebraska. Head coach Rick Pitino has put together a Top 5 class that also features ESPN 100 guard Anton Gill (Raleigh, N.C./Hargrave Military), post-grad guard Terry Rozier (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Hargrave Military) and junior college point guard Chris Jones (Memphis, Tenn./NW Florida State College).
"The Louisville Cardinals fortified their backcourt of the future and added a frontcourt piece," according to ESPN's Dave Telep. "Agau is a versatile four man who can play facing the basket. He was Nebraska's No. 1 target but Louisville dug him out of Omaha."
