Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger landed two verbal commitments on Thursday, according to ESPN's SoonerNation.
Joining the Sooners' 2013 class is four-star point guard Jordan Woodard (Edmond, Okla./Edmond Memorial) who chose OU over Iowa, Kansas State, Memphis, San Francisco and Stanford. He is currently ranked as the No. 26 point guard on ESPN's RecruitingNation.
"I just felt like it was time," he said. "No school and no coach had shown as much interest in me the OU has. The Sooners have been talking to me since my sophomore year."
Also committing to Oklahoma was Class of 2014 power forward Jacob Hammond (Duncan, Okla./home school). The 6-foot-10 big man chose the Sooners over interest from Wake Forest and Missouri.
"I feel like I have connected real well with the coaches the entire time," he told SoonerNation. "OU was the first school to show interest. They let me know early they wanted me."
Woodard is the first 2013 recruit for the Sooners and Hammond is the first from the 2014 group.
