BYU landed its second recruit from the 2014 class on Friday night with a verbal pledge from wing forward Dalton Nixon (Orem, Utah/Orem), according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
The Cougars offered Nixon in July along with Utah, Utah State and San Francisco.
"There's no place I'd rather be," he told the Tribune. "It's exactly the culture I'm looking for, and with Provo in my backyard, I just felt of all the schools, I didn't want to go anywhere but BYU."
Nixon is the son of former BYU player Kevin Nixon. He is the second 2014 recruit for the Cougars, joining shooting guard T.J. Haws (Highland, Utah/Lone Peak).
