NYC guard commits to Florida International

New Florida International head coach Richard Pitino landed his second 2013 recruit on Sunday with a verbl pledge from point guard Jaquan Lynch (Coney Island, N.Y./Thomas Jefferson).

Lynch made his choice following this weekends Hoop Group Team Camp in Pennsylvania where Pitino watched him.

"I just fell good about the school," he tole the New York Daily News. "I liked the coaches. I liked Coach Pitino and [assistant coach] Kimani Young, who I've known for a long time. I felt it was the perfect school for me."

Lynch chose the Golden Panthers over Eastern Illinois and Stony Brook. He will join shooting guard Ayinde Sprewell (Orlando, Fla./Agape Christian Academy) in Miami.
