Sophomore guard Isaiah Washington (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport H.S.) decided to end his recruitment early after verbally committing to Penn State on Sunday.

According to the Williamsport Sun Gazette, Washington was offered a scholarship by head coach Pat Chambers on an unofficial visit last week.

"I decided I just knew Penn State was where I wanted to go. After my visit, it was obvious," Washington told the paper. "The academics were one of the main things that sold me. Coach Chambers and his plans for Penn State, I would love to be a part of something like that."

Washington held offers from George Mason, James Madison and St. Joseph's. He is the first 2014 recruit for Chambers and his staff.
