According to multiple sources, ESPNU 100 small forward Winston Shepard (Fresno, Texas/Findlay College Prep) ended his recruitment on Thursday with a verbal pledge to San Diego State. Shepard has confirmed the news via his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-8 forward chose the Aztecs over New Mexico, UTEP, Oklahoma State and UNLV. He joins shooting guard Matt Shrigley (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon H.S.) and power forward Skylar Spencer (Los Angeles/Price H.S.) in head coach Steve Fisher's incoming class.
ESPN.com's National Recruiting Director Paul Biancardi weighed in on Shepard's decision.
