Texas Tech head coach Billy Gillispie landed his first recruit from the 2013 class earlier this week with the verbal pledge of forward Blake Danielak (Liberty Hill, Texas/Liberty Hill H.S.). Multiple sources have reported the commitment.
The 6-foot-7 Danielak is averaging 16 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
"He's a very long kid, and the thing with Blake is he has great upside," Liberty Hill head coach Barry Boren told the paper. "He's a really good shooter. He has shot about 37 percent from the 3-point line this season and 80 percent from the free-throw line."
Danielak is the first 2013 commitment for Gillispie and his staff.
