Ten players threatening to crack the next ESPN 100

Hottest debates as ESPN 100 update nears

Basketball recruiting reporter Reggie Rankin joins ESPN's Phil Murphy to discuss expected player rankings trends and on-going debates in advance of the ESPN 100 update at the end of August.

The ESPN 100 is set to be revised on Aug. 26, and a number of players who fell outside the list last time out will be making a strong play for consideration this time around. After watching hundreds of talented players during a brisk schedule of summer events, here are 10 prospects who should be making a serious bid for inclusion on the list:

1. Jared Harper, PG (6-0, 160, Pebblebrook/Atlanta, GA) -- Auburn commit

Harper, who earned MVP honors at the Peach Jam, is an aggressive knock-down shooter and excellent dime-dropper as well. He should be a cornerstone for Bruce Pearl's Tigers program.
