The Canadian chose the Catamounts over SMU, Clemson, Florida Atlantic and St. Bonaventure.

"I'm a pass-first guy and like to get everyone involved on the court," he told the paper. "I'd like to think I can make an impact [at Vermont] ASAP."

Douse joins small forward Kurt Steidl (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) in UVM's class of 2013.

Earlier this week, shooting guard Anders Broman (Duluth, Minn./Lakeview Christian) verbally committed to South Dakota State, the Duluth News Tribune reported.

Broman set the state single-season scoring record in Minnesota last year and has a chance to become the state's all-time leading scorer this season. He chose the Jackrabbits over Yale and Vermont.

"I just really loved the campus," he told the paper following his weekend visit. "They have a great program (that) keeps getting better and better. ... It felt like the right fit."

Broman joins power forward Logan Doyle (Alexandria, Minn./Alexandria) and small forward Lane Severyn (Pierre, S.D./Pierre) in the Jackrabbits' 2013 class.

6-foot-2 point guard Mike Schlotman (Munster, Ind./Munster) decided to end his recruitment on Monday night with a verbal pledge to William & Mary, the Times of Northwest Indiana is reporting.

Schlotman chose the Tribe over offers from American, Illinois-Chicago, Davidson, Vermont and Western Michigan.

"I developed a really good relationship with the coaches," he told the paper. "They told me I'd be playing a lot; that I'd have the ball in my hands a lot."

Schlotman averaged nearly 11 points and 4.5 assists as a junior at Munster last season.

The Fordham Rams received a verbal commitment from point guard Jermaine Myers (Ajax, Ont./Blair Academy) on Monday, according to the New York Post.

The Canadian chose Fordham over Valparaiso, Western Kentucky, Vermont and Middle Tennessee State.

"I really enjoyed my visit to Western Kentucky and I liked Valparaiso a lot, but when I went to Fordham I fell in love with it," he told the paper. "The coaches are great. The people come out and watch a lot of games, they show a lot of love. I think there is an opportunity for me to play right away. I got a really good feel for the campus and New York City was very attractive as well."

Myers joins Mandell Thomas (Rochester, N.Y./Notre Dame Prep) in the Rams incoming class.
