Davidson nabbed a verbal commitment from power forward Joe Aase (Austin, Minn./Austin) on Monday night, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.

New Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber landed his first recruit from the 2013 class on Sunday with a verbal pledge from small forward Alex Etherington (Arcadia, Ind./Hamilton Heights).

The 6-foot-6 Etherington chose the Wildcats over New Mexico, Xavier, Boston College, Boston University and St. Joseph's. His decision came while on an unofficial visit over the weekend.

"When I was there, I fell in love with everything about it," he told the Indianapolis Star. "There weren't any negatives. Everything felt right."

Etherington averaged 22.1 points as a junior in 2011-12 after suffering a severe head injury while attempting a slam dunk as a sophomore.
Pittsburgh head coach Jamie Dixon landed a verbal commitment on Monday night from shooting guard Chris Jones (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck H.S.).

According to ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Adam Finkelstein, Jones held offers from Colorado, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Towson, Boston University and LaSalle. He chose the Panthers after receiving an offer last week.

Houston native Clyde Smith put an end to his recruitment on Monday when he verbally committed to TCU, mulitiple sources are reporting.

ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Adam Finkelstein reported on his New England Recruiting Report site that power forward T.J. Parker-Rivera verbally committed to Towson on Monday.

The 6-foot-6 Parker-Rivera chose the Tigers over Boston University, Iona and Temple.

"I went down to Towson two weeks ago and really liked the campus and the players," he said. "Coach (Pat) Skerry came to my school and spent time talking to my family, and I knew I wanted to commit."

Parker-Rivera becomes part of an impressive first recruiting class for Skerry. He also has pledges from point guard Frank Mason, point guard Jerome Hairston and power forward Barrington Alston.

PF Donovon Jack picks Dukes

Reading, Pa. native Donovon Jack ended his recruitment on Wednesday when he verbally committed to Duquesne, WFMZ.com in Reading reported.

Jack held offers from Boston University, Washington State, DePaul, Fordham and LaSalle but had narrowed his choices to the Dukes and St. Joseph's. He is the first recruit for Duquesne in 2012.
