Northeast recruiting news and notes

With the NCAA evaluation period coming to an end following last weekend’s various grassroots events, the last four days have been loaded with recruiting info. Here’s a look at some recent offers for prospects in the northeast region:
Phelps (Pa.) 2014 forward Terry Larrier has officially arrived on the recruiting scene (can’t say I didn’t warn you), having landed recent offers from St. John’s, Minnesota, Providence, Penn State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Memphis, USC, VCU and Florida.
Our Savior New American (N.Y.) 2015 big man Cheick Diallo is seeing his recruitment take off as well, with recent offers from Louisville, Kansas and Texas.
Brewster Academy (N.H.) 2014 SG Jared Terrell scored two major offers from Kansas and Florida.
Cushing Academy (Mass.) 2014 PG Kaleb Joseph added three more high-major offers from Georgetown, Minnesota, and Marquette.
Abdul-Malik Abu plays with a high motor and is fielding offers from more than a dozen schools.
Kimball Union Academy (N.H.) 2014 PF Abdul-Malik Abu has added offers from Kansas and North Carolina State.
Blair Academy (N.J.) swingman Marial Shayok picked up offers from Minnesota, West Virginia, Rutgers and LaSalle this past week.
Tilton (N.H.) 2015 swingman Terance Mann scored offers from Florida and Iowa State.
Canterbury (Conn.) 2015 swingman Donovan Mitchell continues to add new offers with Boston College, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Iona and Providence all in the mix.
Lee Academy (Maine) 2014 guard Aaron Calixte picked up offers from Towson, Albany, Robert Morris, New Hampshire and Siena this week.
Haverford School (Pa.) forward Eric Anderson has added offers from Colgate, Lafayette and Manhattan to a list that included Princeton and others.
Tyler Lydon, who will reclassify to 2015 at New Hampton (N.H.) next season, reeled in offers from Boston College, Iowa State, Minnesota, Providence and Virginia Tech recently.
Point Pleasant Beach (N.J.) forward Dominique Uhl has received an offer from Boston College.
St. Joseph’s Metuchcen (N.J.) guard Wade Baldwin snagged offers from Virginia Tech, Rutgers, and Penn State this week.
Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.) PG Shavar Newkirk was recently offered by St. Joseph’s and Middle Tennessee State.
St. Joseph’s (Conn.) guard Quincy McKnight boasts offers from Buffalo, Florida Atlantic and Florida Gulf Coast this week.
Hackensack (N.J.) guard Rashard Figures has new offers from Florida International and Providence.
Friends Central (Pa.) guard Conrad Chambers added Fairfield and Robert Morris to his list of offers.
Berks Catholic (Pa.) big man Nana Foulland added offers from Boston University and Holy Cross.
Pennington (N.J.) guard Kaison Randolph was offered by Towson, St. Joseph’s, Seton Hall, URI and Buffalo this week.
Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) 2015 C Ernest Aflakpui added an offer from Temple. LaSalle was the first school to offer the 6-foot-10 big man.
Canisius (N.Y.) 2016 PG Howard Washington Jr. grabbed offers from Virginia & Virginia Tech.
East Hartford (Conn.) 2014 SG Kahari Beaufort picked up an offer from Florida International.
Pennington School (N.J.) 2015 forward Myles Stephens was offered by Princeton and Holy Cross.
Great Valley (PA) 2013 swingman Mikal Bridges landed offers from Virginia Tech & Old Dominion.
Don Bosco (NJ) 2014 PG Paul Jorgenson list swelled significantly over the last few weeks with George Washington, Fordham, Vermont, Bucknell, Quinnipiac, Fairfield, Loyola, Florida International and many others hot on his trails.
Redemption Christian (Mass.) 2014 PF Angel Delgado scored his first high-major offer from Seton Hall.
Milton Academy (Mass.) 2014 PF Alec Brennan landed his latest such offer from Wake Forest.
Windsor (Conn.) 2014 guard Jared Wilson-Frame reportedly received an offer from Providence.
Canisius became Brighton (Mass.) 2014 guard Malik James first D-I offer.
Life Center Academy (N.J.) 2015 swingman Malik Ellison was offered by St. Joseph’s.
St. Thomas More (Conn.) 2014 guard Cane Broome received an offer from Sacred Heart.
There are reports out that Penn State extended an offer to Green Tech (N.Y.) 2014 guard Jamil Hood.
Wagner reached out to a pair of Delaware guards, offering Joseph Cooper (Tatnall School) and Todd Hughes (Sanford School).
WHEELS (Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School, N.Y) 2014 PF Tyshawn Myles picked up an offer from Drexel.
St. Anthony (N.J.) 2014 guard Cheddi Mosely picked up offers from Buffalo and Campbell.
Note: Reporting scholarship offers is one of the more difficult things to do in recruiting, because it’s almost impossible to confirm from the source since college coaches aren't permitted to speak about prospective student athletes. Therefore all offers are only as good as the source of the information, and should all be considered “fluid.”
