Towns Jr. different from past UK big men

Karl Towns Jr. (Metuchen, N.J./St. Joseph) became the latest high-profile big man to commit to John Calipari when the newly minted member of the Class of 2014 picked Kentucky on Tuesday.
Although Towns will follow in the footsteps of guys like Nerlens Noel, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, among others, his persona as a basketball player is actually far different from any other elite big man Calipari has coached at UK.
Noel and Davis are similarly dominant defenders and shot-blockers. Davis is far more skilled offensively, but both are incredibly long, fluid, agile and athletic for their size. Cousins, on the other hand, is more of a thick power player and interior scorer.
