AAU ball helped pave way for Peters

ESPN 100 point guard Roddy Peters (District Heights, Md./Suitland) has committed to Maryland over offers from Georgetown, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis, Rutgers and Xavier, among others.
Peters is a combo guard who really blossomed as a point guard over the last seven months. He really benefited from the coaching of former NBA coach Eddie Jordan, who led the D.C. Assault travel team on the AAU circuit this past summer. That much was evident at July’s Summer Jam event in Milwaukee, Wisc. Jordan helped simplify things for Peters, helping him limit mistakes while remaining productive on the court – areas that could help Peters earn early playing time under Maryland coach Mark Turgeon.
