Wayne Selden a star on and off the court

Wayne Selden (Boston/Tilton) gave Kansas coach Bill Self what could potentially be the final piece to his 2013 recruiting class on Monday. His commitment puts the final touches on a Jayhawks perimeter attack that should now be set for the foreseeable future.

Selden is a pure scorer with a college-ready body. He’s as powerful a perimeter player as you’ll find in this class and is absolutely explosive with the ball in the open floor, where he attacks the rim running downhill. Over the past 12 months, he has worked tirelessly to diversify his game and has consequently become a more consistent 3-point shooter, better overall ball handler and an underrated passer.

But for all of his physical tools and developing basketball skill, though, what truly sets Selden apart from others is his mental edge.
