LOS ANGELES -- The Fullcourt Press Fall Showcase, directed by Dinos Trigonis, is always a must-see event in the Southern California region. The senior game traditionally lacks the elite prospects in the class because of kids taking official visits, but that didn’t stop USC SF commit Roschon Prince and fellow Long Beach Poly teammate PF Jordan Bell from making the trip to Ribet Academy. However, the story of the day was the immense potential of the 2015 and 2016 classes.
2014, SG, 6-foot-2, 170 pounds
Sweeney is one of the more improved prospects out west. The explosive guard is an electrifying leaper with a smooth shooting stroke. He gets great lift on his shot and he is a highlight waiting to happen at any moment of the game. He needs to improve his midrange handle and decision making, but his upside is staggering.
