A big man whose productivity and potential has always been based on the combination of his wide frame and quick feet, Washington gave away some of those tools earlier this spring when he began the grassroots season noticeably out of shape and a step slower. He seems to have things going in the right direction again as he’s improved his conditioning and regained some of that explosive foot speed that made him such a terror at his size. His overall productivity and efficiency are still a little bit of a work in progress, but he’s trending in the right direction again.
