LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The 2012 Pangos All-American Camp didn’t possess the kind of frontcourt talent as last year -- Andre Drummond comes immediately to mind -- but it had a plethora of potential McDonald's All-Americans, led by the Pangos MOP Cliff Alexander (Chicago/Currie).
2014, PF, 6-8, 225 pounds
Alexander is a no-nonsense (great demeanor) power forward with broad shoulders, long arms and soft hands. He can post up strong and he plays wide, while maneuvering with his back to the basket. His footwork is evolving and he literally over-powered every big man in camp -- usually finishing with a thunderous throw down. Not to mention he can step out and hit the jump shot at the elbow. Elton Brand and Draymond Green come to mind when describing Alexander.
