Barber among elite PGs in 2013 class

The 2013 class has a strong group of point guards at the top, and Anthony "Cat" Barber (Hampton, Va./Hampton) deserves to be mentioned with players such as Andrew Harrison (Richmond, Texas/Travis), Nate Britt (Washington, D.C./Gonzaga College HS) and Kasey Hill (Eustis, Fla./Montverde Academy). Barber's recruitment reflects it.

"Things have really picked up," said Barber, who is drawing the most interest from Kansas, Alabama, Virginia, Florida State and NC State. He is also showing strong interest in Georgia Tech, Missouri and SMU and has visited Virginia and North Carolina. "I am looking for a school where I can play early in my career, but I know I have to work for it. I am looking at schools that have had great point guards and have been successful."

He is a scoring point guard who pushes the ball with tremendous speed in transition, and his ability to find people on the break or finish the play makes him a dual threat.
