Dream team: Kentucky’s 2013 class

John Calipari’s recruiting success at Kentucky has been well documented. The Wildcats landed the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the No. 2 class in 2012 and continue to replenish the talent in Lexington annually despite losing one-and-done players to the NBA.

Amid all that recruiting dominance, his 2013 class might yet prove to be his masterpiece. Not just because of the sheer talent -- three players in the top 10 and five in the top 30 -- but because of how well the pieces fit together. Kentucky essentially has recruited a perfect starting five.

Let’s put aside for a moment the debate over whether this is the best recruiting class of all time and simply take a look at the five instant-impact recruits Kentucky already has in its 2013 class and how they fit both together and under Calipari to form what could be a dream team.
