Johnathan Williams III (Memphis, Tenn./Southwind) committed to the Missouri Tigers over offers from Michigan State, Georgetown and Tennessee.
With the Tigers making the move to the SEC, Williams is just the kind of athletic player coach Frank Haith will need to make an immediate impact in arguably the most athletic conference in the country.
The 6-foot-8 Williams is extremely versatile and will provide the coaching staff with a variety of scoring options. Williams can play either forward spot and runs the floor with long strides to beat defenders for easy baskets. He rim runs and finishes above the rim when playing at the 4-spot and runs the outside lanes with similar results at the small forward position. His versatility is a perfect fit for Missouri’s up-tempo attacking style of play.
